From the Album Right Here (2009)

Boh Runga is firmly in the driving seat in the video for Evelyn, a catchy single from the former Stellar* frontwoman's debut solo album Right Here (2009). Handclaps, a vocal flourish and a guitar strum kick-start the tale of charming, unreliable Evelyn, who has the narrator wrapped around her little finger. Runga powers her convertible Mustang down an endless desert highway, and adds an Elvis Presley wiggle to her guitar slinging. Video game-style visuals keep the track's momentum ticking along. Director Tim van Dammen went on to make trailer park musical Romeo and Juliet: A Love Story and comedy Mega Time Squad.
