Waka Of Caring in Manurewa provides for those in need throughout the whole of Tāmaki Makaurau, offering clothing, food, books, toys and household appliances. Even then, co-founder Whaea Debz says if you need something they don't have, she will find it for you. The workers at the community hub see around 250 food packages out the door each day, with the number having "doubled easily in the last two years".
