About
In this episode from long-running arts series Kaleidoscope, reporter Angela D’Audney visits the artist Grahame Sydney at his idyllic home — Mount Pisa Station near Cromwell — and discovers the meticulous techniques used for his remarkable landscapes. Sydney explains how he selects subjects for his paintings and manipulates the Central Otago landscapes, to create the artworks for which he has achieved worldwide fame. Selecting only the elements of the landscape that speak to him the most, Syndey creates a world beyond the ordinary. A new father, Sydney also discusses how family life has changed his worldview.
