A continuation of the British television series cherished by herds of horse-loving girls, The New Adventures of Black Beauty follows Vicky Denning (Amber McWilliams, from TV series Strangers) who has emigrated to New Zealand, where she is captivated by a beautiful black horse. The co-production features many Kiwi names in front of and behind the camera. This extract from the eighth episode sees Manfred attempting to fly on Karekare Beach in a Richard Pearse-like contraption. A shady-looking Kurt (Michael Hurst) looks on, while Vicky charges to the rescue on Black Beauty.
