It traces the rebirth of ancestral house Tumutumu Whenua which belongs to Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, one of the hapū of the Ngāti Whātua iwi. Kaumātua Hone Taumaunu discusses his iwi's turbulent history, including the traumatic confiscation of the original marae in 1951, and the 1990 fire that destroyed its replacement.
