  • Documentary

Aotearoa’s diverse weather — "fickle" says presenter Gus Roxburgh — is the subject of this three-part TVNZ series. This second episode tackles summertime, starting with its astrophysical causes, the reasons for our variable summers, and the difficulties in weather forecasting. As Roxburgh travels Aotearoa, he looks at how summer affects everything from winemaking to cricket matches and flooded campsites, as well other matters like fire, drought and the effect of humidity on your hair. Guests join Roxburgh to share their expertise, including weather guru Bob McDavitt and psychologist Nigel Latta.
