The Topp Twins - Do Not Adjust Your Twin-Set: The Beach

National treasures The Topp Twins have served up their distinctive brand of comedy for decades. In these short clips from their 1990s TV show, they visit Mount Maunganui's main beach, in character as the bossy Camp Mother and bumbling Camp Leader. Camp Mother (Lynda) flirts outrageously with a beefy life guard, before playing dirty tricks to help Camp Leader (Jools) win a triathlon. Camp Leader performs her athletic duties in a frilly swimsuit, inflatable ring and jelly sandals — at the the start of clip two, the twins briefly break character when Jools trips on the pavement, eliciting an unplanned giggle.
