Throughout 2021, 'Afternoons with Jesse Mulligan' on Radio New Zealand shone a spotlight on a fondly remembered Kiwi TV show each Thursday. The audio-only series features interviews with key talent who were involved in each production. Take a walk down memory lane.
Beloved children's show Play School ran from 1972 until 1990. Its recurring characters were Big Ted, Little Ted, Jemima, Humpty and Manu, who were joined by a host of presenters over the years. Joining Jesse Mulligan to talk about their time as presenters are Jacqui Dean (nee Hay), now a National MP, and Pauline Durning, who presented the show in three stints. Rawiri Paratene also shares his memories in a series of recorded recollections.
