50 Ways of Filming "Fabulous"

Released in 2004, feature film 50 Ways of Saying Fabulous explored being gay in small town New Zealand. This 42 minute behind-the-scenes featurette is a warm-hearted but unflinching look at the realities of making a movie. With much of the shoot taking place outdoors in Central Otago, director Stewart Main and producer Michelle Fantl are working hard to complete the film within a tight timeframe and budget. There are a fair share of obstacles along the way; shooting sensitive scenes with child actors, a key cast member having a severe knee injury, and rain falling when the film is set in a drought.
