Rabbiters Rest - Dust to Dust

Television (Full Length Episode) – 1985

Created by comedian Jon Gadsby, Rabbiters Rest was inspired by his time working as a bartender in the rural township of Dipton. In this episode, directed by Ginette McDonald, pub owner Murray (David Telford) and bartender Doreen (Sandra Rasmussen) spar with the curmudgeonly Snow (Bruce Allpress). After years of bludging off the local pub and store, Snow's credit is finally cut off and he hatches a devious plan to make everyone regret it. In a surprisingly dark turn for a comedy, Snow fakes his own suicide and hides out in the pub, where he steals bar snacks and eavesdrops on his remorseful friends.

I'm being investigated regarding payment on two years of possum skins! I think I need a drink!
– Snow (Bruce Allpress)
