The Project - 48Hours

Television (Full Length) – 2018

The 48Hours filmmaking competition is an institution for Kiwi filmmakers; an annual event where competitors are tasked with making a movie in just two days, with very specific components. When 48Hours was featured on The Project in 2018, the event's organisers assembled a team to create a simulation of the competition. #MoveNZ was the result  a short current affairs parody that was made in just 4.8 hours. Outlining the issues caused by New Zealand's geography, the peppy narrator suggests the solution is to literally move the countrys placing on Earth. Thus, the "movement movement" is born; #MoveNZ.

Auckland is the nexus point of 48 volcanoes, which could go off in any moment, totally Pompeii-ing the city of sails. But how much would it cost to, say, move Wellington's entire CBD a little more north?
