The Secret Lives of Dancers - Episode Two

Television (Full Length Episode) – 2010

It's the first day back after Christmas holidays for the Royal New Zealand Ballet, but there's no easing into the year for the troupe. In episode two of this behind the curtain look into the lives of professional dancers, ballet master and mistress Greg Horsman and Turid Revfeim introduce the demanding triple bill repertoire. Veterans, like Lucy Balfour, take the first day in their stride but newbies Lucy and Yang have to cope with new moves and life in a new country. Artistic Director Gary Harris gets candid about mixing dance and romance, while Katie Hurst-Saxton reveals her relationship with fellow lead dancer Michael Braun.

It's got scary auditions, fantastic characters, the bitchiness of a close group of people working together under extreme pressure, lots of gorgeous bodies and incredible performances.
