1999 Short film
  • Drama

In this short film directed by Andrea Bosshard, a middle-aged couple's relationship sours as the teenage children make romantic discoveries. Dad (played by poet and Red Mole founder Alan Brunton) is shunned by his partner (Catherine Downes) who harbours a crush on the milkman (Jeremy Scrivener). The daughter dreams of a perfect lover and the son has a secret to share. The Intruder won Best Cinematography at the 1999 Ann Arbor Film Festival. An unseen narrator (Rangimoana Taylor) comments on the family's private thoughts, adding a surreal element to this dreamy, black and white domestic drama.
