The Video Store

This darkly comic web series is set in a video store in terminal decline. Yvette Parsons (Educators) plays the deluded boss of an Auckland DVD store that is struggling to stay afloat in changing times. Across seven episodes, Stacey and her staff deal with a movie nerd face-off (episode three), legal action from their scariest staff member (episode four), an epic adventure caused by expired snacks (episode five), and a management meltdown (episode seven). Each episode features a different kooky customer, including cameo appearances by serial fainter Natalie Medlock (episode two) and Keisha Castle-Hughes (episode six). Imogen Peek-Swaney won an acting award at America's LA Web Fest in 2017.
