Before Selwyn Toogood became a household name as the host of beloved radio turned television show It’s In The Bag, he was voicing Weekly Reviews for the National Film Unit. This 74-minute documentary sees him sharing some of the films he worked on, and providing an overview of New Zealand in the 1940s and 50s. Among the stories are the post-war civilian use of World War II airplanes, Miss New Zealand, and how an urgent recording session almost interrupted his wedding plans.
