Nestled in the heart of the Northland region sits Kaikohe, a small but mighty community. It's also the hometown of Moana, a matriarchal figure in the town. Moana helps facilitate many different educational pathways for the people of Kaikohe, as well as a peruperu (potato) growing initiative. Moana says, "It's like an internal passion that you have, to do better for your people."
