It's a 2015 Christmas cliffhanger for long-running soap Shortland Street. In this excerpt, the action skips between vastly different scenes: a wedding venue, and the locked down hospital café where the unhinged Gareth Hutchings (Jarrod Martin) holds medical staff and the Cooper family at gunpoint. Groom Boyd Rolleston (Sam Bunkall) is having the worst wedding day ever, held hostage as the Armed Offenders Squad wait to bust the joint.
