He certainly hasn't been forgotten by our sister site AudioCulture - read all about John Hanlon here http://www.audioculture.co.nz/people/john-hanlon. And we've just published a short excerpt of "Lovely Lady" on NZ On Screen https://www.nzonscreen.com/title/lovely-lady-1974

Has NZ totally forgotten the only Kiwi to have won Album of the Year and Songwriter of the Year for 3 consecutive years plus 2 Silver Scrolls; the great John Hanlon. What music he made and is still making since he has come back to NZ

Great to see this has been saved. The reported was Carole Reade who also made another Good Day Special with me: Operation Disneyland. Incidently the London interview with Mr Lee Grant was done by my brother Peter Baldock.

I never saw this at the time, even though some of our artists, including Sharon O'Neill, are featured. Do remember Ray and others moaning about a lack of radio air play and wanting a quota. Agreed with them that NZ radio could embrace our recordings more but was then, and now, totally against an NZ music quota by regulation. In the main we managed to get our artists records selling by enthusiasm and promotion. Kevan Moore, by the way, did some wonderful entertainment TV.
