Stake Out - Series One

Created by comedians Tom Sainsbury and Chris Parker, Stake Out follows two bumbling private investigators on their missions — but it doesn't follow them far, as they mostly sit in the car bickering. A simple and wonderfully silly show, the dialogue-based comedy features many outrageous, and often absurd, conversations. Some surprising moments include: Chris being in the 'nature police', Tom not being aware of the internet, both men being raging misogynists, and  detailed fantasies of murdering one another. Sainsbury and Parker went on to become household names in New Zealand television. This first season features seven episodes, each between two and six minutes long. Check out the episode guide here.
