The Barrier’s a hard country, but a very pretty country. Everybody who’s moved out here are individuals. It’s a very hard life; you’ve got to have a good income, or get established before you arrive here.

My beach is four miles long, pure white sand and nobody on it. It make me laugh, all these people going to Surfer’s Paradise, where the sand is cold.
