After being resuscitated from the brink of death following a hit and run accident in West Auckland, Dutch (Benedict Wall) is out for revenge. He teams up with a mysterious psychic coach (Florence Nobel), who guides him in unlocking the cosmic realm in order to track down the driver, and enact revenge. Forces far greater than himself propel Dutch into a whirlwind of psychics, in a genre-bending mix of comedy, surrealism, and fantasy. The Paragon is the first feature from writer/director/cinematographer Michael Duignan (short film Truant). It is set to premiere as a part of the 2023 NZ International Film Festival.
