A 10 per cent goods and services tax (GST) was one major shake-up during the fourth Labour Government's term in office. it was part of a controversial suite of reforms dubbed 'Rogernomics'. This humorous promotional short educates the public about the tax which took effect on 1 October, 1986. Reg Potter (Peter Bland, from Came a Hot Friday), the proud owner of Potter's Possum Paradise, is stressed and wary about how GST will affect him. In strolls possum hunter Barry Crump (stealing the whole skit without moving his face) who schools Reg and the TV audience with some basic GST business accounting.
