From the Album Schmack! (2004)
This ridiculously inventive music video took Steriogram to the world. It uses wool to create people and guitars: a larger than life character scales Hollywood’s Capitol tower to attack the band...some unravelling occurs. The ingenious stop-motion romp was directed in New York by French-born music video legend Michel Gondry (Radiohead, The White Stripes, movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). The video — and the song’s use in an iPod advert — brought Steriogram global exposure. Nominated for a Grammy and four MTV Awards, it took three weeks to shoot. The song featured in video games and 2005 movie Robots.
