Baker Ken Paget (Harry Lavington) celebrates a significant birthday in this episode of popular 1970s soap opera Close to Home. But soon the landline telephones are running hot with big news about a long awaited engagement between David Paget (Stephen Tozer) and Christine Lorvatz (Heather Lindsay). Riki (Jim Moriarty) is first to congratulate his best mate and Ken's birthday party becomes the setting for more happy news. This episode was penned by prolific scriptwriter and Close to Home creator Michael Noonan (Pukemanu, The Governor).
