Director Justin Pemberton has made his mark in the worlds of music video and documentary. His documentary credits include award-winners Love, Speed and Loss and The Nuclear Comeback, and Richie McCaw hit Chasing Great. Among the artists he has directed in music videos are Anika Moa and Bic Runga.
John Toon is an award-winning cinematographer who has worked all over the world and in many genres. His early New Zealand TV jobs include The Governor and Moynihan, while his movie credits include Rain, Sylvia and Sunshine Cleaning (all shot for his wife, director Christine Jeffs), plus Broken English and Mr Pip.
Some of Antony Starr’s first roles in front of the camera were on Shortland Street, where he played three different characters. But in contrast to playing brothers Van and Jethro West in Outrageous Fortune, these first roles were played one at a time not all at once. In the intervening years, Starr has breathed life into scripts from many of NZ’s most popular film and television productions.
