Sculpture is arguably more present in people’s day-to-day lives than many other art forms. It is frequently found in public places, transforming our surroundings and enriching the community, and — at times — polarising the public, challenging society and creating controversy. This spotlight celebrates our distinguished artists in the field, both nationally and internationally recognised: including Len Lye, Paul Dibble, Chris Booth, Greer Twiss and Neil Dawson. The controversial ‘Virgin in a Condom’ also features, in the first episode of Backch@t.
