Rap collective SWIDT offer up a potent stream of spoken word poetry set to a jazz beat, and inspired by everyday and state racism — including the infamous Dawn Raids. The AMA and Pacific Music Award winning video opens with a Pasifika family eating together. Staring down the camera, actor Chris Alosio dissects the racial slur 'bunga', skewering the history of negative stereotyping of Pasifika people in Aotearoa. When the police arrive, Alosio emerges from his home wearing Polynesian Panther black. Anahera Parata's clip was shot in the "only Tongan-owned home" on a middle class Herne Bay street.
