Ghostfish - Catfished by a Ghost was the national runner-up in the 2016 48Hours filmmaking competition, in which teams are tasked with creating a film in two days — with very specific requirements. What starts as a sweet and comedic love story between a human and a ghost, takes an unexpected turn into darker territory. The film boasts slick special effects and a strong acting ensemble of advertising copywriter Nick Dellabarca, Laura Daniel (Seven Sharp) and Nic Sampson (The Brokenwood Mysteries). There are also brief cameos early on by stand-up comedians Guy Montgomery and Eli Matthewson.
