Early performance art pieces by Aucklander Peter Roche proved hard to forget, most infamously the act of sewing a sheep's kidney onto his own back. Roche moved from dramatic acts involving carcasses and bodily horror into creating large scale metal works and neon installations. Bridget Sutherland's documentary covers Roche's late 1970s performance art, and his later years restoring Point Chevalier's mothballed Ambassador Theatre into a work space and venue.
