Roving musterer Jocko (Bruce Allpress) rides into a heap of trouble in the this TV movie, which was later reborn as blue ribbon drama series Jocko. Ambitious businessman James Cameron (Peter McCauley) has big plans for a prestigious high country Hereford cattle stud founded by headstrong Sam Barnett (Derek Hardwick). Only corrupt manager Jack White (Jeffrey Thomas) has been quietly selling off stock. Jocko gets in behind Cameron to take on the old guard, while Carol Barnett (Kathryn Rawlings) comes to terms with her father's decision to sell. High Country was directed by Mark DeFriest (Close to Home).
