Kaleidoscope - Beyond Reasonable Doubt

Reporter Bernard McLaughlin visits the set of the 1980 movie about New Zealand’s "most controversial murder” — the killings of Jeanette and Harvey Crewe. Two scenes are shown being prepared: an exterior tracking shot involving lead actor David Hemmings, and a courtroom interrogation by Ian Watkin. In part two, Arthur Allan Thomas — recently freed from nine years in prison, after being convicted of murdering the Crewes — watches his own trial being recreated.
