This musical performance series — a Koha special — features the legendary 1980's Rotorua band, Kairo. They back some of the best Māori singers of the era in a wide range of covers and originals. Māori showband veteran Rangi Parker glides through two reo Māori songs 'Titiro Mai Ngā Whetū' and 'He Karanga Mō Te Reo'. The backing vocalists Taisha Kuhtze and Aroha Anderson get their own spotlight to show off their skills as solo artists. Kairo blasts out their own song 'Natural World' with guest vocalist Kathy Tuhakaraina. It's a thrilling hard rocking performance, with some guitar shredding from Richard Anaru. Richard shreds further in host Peter Morgan's closing song 'Ever Since'.
