The Price of Milk (making of documentary)

Short Film (Full Length) – 2001

For whimsical feature The Price of Milk, director Harry Sinclair (one half of iconic musical duo The Front Lawn) used the improvisational methods he'd developed for TV series and feature Topless Women Talk About Their Lives. This behind the scenes documentary features Sinclair, producer Fiona Copland and lead actors Karl Urban and Danielle Cormack. Sinclair calls his rural romance a kind of "naive.. special effects movie" while Urban discusses filming without a set script. Sinclair traveled to Russia, where the Moscow Symphony Orchestra recorded the soundtrack featuring the classical compositions that inspired his story.

The Price of Milk is a magical romp in the hay. Add a few fairy tales, possibly Rumplestiltskin and Cinderella, The Three Pigs [laughter] Add a herd of cows, and you might be pretty much close to The Price of Milk.
