Susan Te Kahurangi King has been non-verbal since she was four years old, instead expressing herself through highly prolific drawing. In the early 2000s, her incredible archive of 10,000+ works caught the attention of the art world, at home and abroad. In this 2012 documentary, Susan is presented with opportunities to exhibit and even sell her art, giving her tight-knit family the challenge of deciding how best to proceed — without being able to communicate with the artist herself.
