In this instalment of travel show Intrepid Journeys, iconoclastic musician Chris Knox (The Enemy, Toy Love) visits Southern India. It's a busy trip for a man who has "never been a brilliant solo traveller", and he experiences a wide spectrum of emotions, from delight to despair. His activities include seeing a Mysore temple lit up at night, watching a Bollywood film in Chennai and enjoying an ayurveda treatment at Periyar National Park. Surprisingly, for a performer renowned for chaos, Knox doesn't enjoy the mayhem of cities like Cochin — much preferring the quiet moments, like his stay in the serene Thoda village.
