Although NZ On Screen's Body Art Collection features many titles on tattooing, it also touches on other types of body art, including piercing and henna. In the backgrounders, author and Pasifika expert Sean Mallon takes us through some of the highlights of the collection, while director Geoff Steven remembers travels from Auckland to the Pacific Basin to East LA, while making Skin Pics and Signatures of the Soul — two key Kiwi documentaries about tattooing.
