This documentary goes behind the scenes in the lead-up to the 1995 Wearable Art Awards at Nelson's Trafalgar Centre. Sculptor Suzie Moncrieff launched the awards in 1987, holding the first show in her cottage. Eight years on, the event has grown into a 'must-see' showcase, attracting loyal sponsors and overseas entries. Moncrieff, supported by much of Nelson's artistic community, deals with lights and logistics, while a group of regular entrants share the inspiration behind their creations. Director Bruce Morrison (Heartland) serves up highlights from a spectacular stage show, including the popular 'Bizarre Bra' section.
