One Lane Bridge

This moody crime drama follows detective Ariki Davis (Dominic Ona-Ariki, from Jonah and Filthy Rich). He begins to have strange visions while investigating a series of deaths on a one-lane bridge near a South Island town. Davis is experiencing matakite or second sight — visions of the dead. Playing Ariki's bosses are Joel Tobeck (seasons one and two) and Nicola Kāwana (season three). The talented cast also includes Alison Bruce, Michelle Langstone and Sara Wiseman. Named New Zealand's Best Drama Series in 2020, One Lane Bridge was created by Pip Hall and Philip Smith. Shot mainly in and around Queenstown, it ran for three seasons.
