Presenter Marcus Lush (Off the Rails) heads as far south as one can go for this series about the history, environment and wildlife of Antarctica. Over five episodes, Lush gets up close to seals and penguins, parties with Kiwis at Scott Base on New Year's Eve, learns how to ride a snowmobile, and finds out more about Antarctic explorers, such as Robert Scott. He also interviews Kiwis Kevin Biggar and Jamie Fitzgerald — the first people to walk to the South Pole and back unassisted — and ex-Scott Base staffer Nigel Roberts, who offers his take on the tragic 1979 crash of Flight 901.
