A three-day hike in the Indian Himalayas ignites a desire in newbie traveller Stephanie Tauevihi to take life by the horns. Giddy from the high altitudes, actor and presenter Tauevihi tries to break in her boots and lungs in Ladakh for this episode of Intrepid Journeys. Amongst the rugged landscape and spiritual locals, Tauevihi is taken aback by the hardships faced by Tibetan refugees, and is in awe of their resilience and faith. Her trip also includes getting up close and personal with exotic animals, and trying a local aphrodisiac drug which made the colours of alpine resort town Manali pop.
