Shortland Street - Musical episode

Television (Full Length) – 2001

The show Sleeping Beauty must go on in this episode of Shortland Street, even after head nurse Judy (Donogh Rees) is dragged onstage to replace the boozed 'evil fairy' Barbara (Annie Whittle). Stage manager Waverley (Claire Chitham) watches nervously as Chris Warner and Victor Kahu (Calvin Tuteao) perform their sword fight and (in)famous 'rap battle', only for Kahu to milk his death scene. Back at Shortland Street it's the Adam Heywood Show, as the doctor (Leighton Cardno) deals with multiple cases of poisoning. Nothing could match the headlines of September 11, which meant few viewers caught this episode.

This is all very amusing. Just hurry up and die, will you?
– Chris Warner (Michael Galvin) is irritated by the acting theatrics of Victor (Calvin Tuteao)
