Claire Chitham spent eight years playing Shortland Street receptionist Waverley Wilson, becoming one of the show’s most popular characters in the process. She went on to a memorable role as gang girl Aurora Bay in Outrageous Fortune, and won an NZ Screen Award for her work in Interrogation. In 2019 she was nominated as Best Actress at the NZ Television Awards for black comedy Fresh Eggs.
In Tape she proves herself to be an intelligent actor who can deliver a strong, layered and compelling performance. Shannon Huse, reviewing Claire Chitham in play Tape, 9 August 2004, The NZ Herald
