Claire Chitham spent eight years playing Shortland Street receptionist Waverley Wilson, becoming one of the show’s most popular characters in the process. She went on to a memorable role as "bikie chick" Aurora Bay in Outrageous Fortune, and won an NZ Screen Award for a guest role on Interrogation. In 2019 Chitham was nominated at the NZ Television Awards, after co-starring in black comedy Fresh Eggs.
